Ministry of Sound was born in September 1991. Its founders had returned from a life-changing visit to the Paradise Garage in New York emboldened to take a leap of faith – gambling that a beaten-up, derelict old bus garage in an unloved part of London would make the perfect home for the wild energy of club culture. It was a bet that paid off: Within ten years, Ministry of Sound was genuinely iconic. As its cultural footprint has continued to grow, so has our reputation for hosting extraordinary events – and only partly because of our legendary night club.
The legacy of over 30 years of event experience is Ministry Venues, which offers for private hire a diverse fleet of three exceptional premises in the greatest city on Earth. Ministry of Sound was followed by our private members’ club and contemporary workspace The Ministry in 2018, and a brand-new site in Shepherd’s Bush, West London will receive its grand opening imminently.
